Description

We're looking for Medical Technologists for an immediate travel opening in Billings, MT.

The right Medical Technologist should have 1 year of recent acute care experience. Read below for more requirements.

As a Medical Technologist, you will be responsible for the analytical evaluation of blood and other body fluids with accuracy and precision. The Medical laboratory Technician will have a working knowledge of laboratory instrumentation to include operation, maintenance and troubleshooting. Medical technologists must meet the requirements of general supervisor and performance of tasks under CLIA 88 definitions.

As a Medical laboratory Technician, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:

  • May procure specimens. Performs, and evaluates waived, moderately complex and highly complex laboratory analysis on blood and other body fluids.
  • Perform instrument maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Performs quality control and proficiency testing procedures.
  • Investigates and resolves problems and unusual situations. Ensures patient test results are not reported until all corrective actions have been taken and the test system is properly functioning.

  • Evaluates and implements new methodologies and procedures as assigned by supervisors.
  • Uses Medical Center and laboratory computer systems in performance of daily tasks.
  • Interfaces with Medical Center personnel and physicians, staff relative to the test results and procedure information.
  • Generates appropriate and required documentation of testing and support procedures.

Medical laboratory Technicians should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. Medical laboratory technicians must have specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Must have 1 year of experience. Must have BLS and MT (ASCP) certification.


CLS/MT/MLS with Microbiology experience
